Support
LovedThis! is a feel-good app for sharing the things you’ve loved lately — books, films, TV, restaurants, podcasts, songs and board games — with the people whose taste you trust. If something isn’t working — or you need to report a concern about something you’ve seen — email hello@lovedthis.app and a real person will read it and act on it, usually within a day.
Getting in
Your email is all you need. Open LovedThis! — the iPhone app, or app.lovedthis.app in any web browser — enter your address, type the six-digit code we send you, choose the name your friends know you by, and tick the box confirming you’re 13 or older and agree to the Terms — then you’re in. If a friend gave you an invite code or link, add it when you join — if it’s for one of their circles, you’ll be in it together from the start.
Can I use LovedThis! on my computer?
Yes — nothing to install. Go to app.lovedthis.app in your web browser (or open the link a friend sent you and click “Join on this computer”), type your email address, and type in the six-digit code we email you. It’s the same LovedThis! as the app, and the same account: your lists are there on every device you sign in on, and your computer keeps you signed in, so next time just go back to app.lovedthis.app. It’s worth a bookmark.
A friend sent me a circle link, and I’m already on LovedThis!
Tap it anyway. It opens LovedThis! and asks whether you’d like to join their circle — one tap and you’re in. If you use LovedThis! in a browser, choose “Join in your browser” (on a computer, “Join on this computer”) on the page the link opens.
I joined, but I’m not in my friend’s circle
That usually means the app came from the App Store in between — the App Store can’t pass an invitation along. Go back to your friend’s message and tap the link again: now that you have LovedThis!, it opens the app and asks you into their circle. (Or open the Circles tab, choose “Find a circle”, and type the six characters at the end of their link.)
Can I find a circle by its name?
Yes, if the person who started it has chosen to let it be found. Open the Circles tab, choose “Find a circle” and type its name, then “Ask to join” — they’ll say yes or no. You won’t see who’s in it until they do. A circle’s starter can switch this on or off at any time on the circle’s own page; every circle starts hidden.
The sign-in email hasn’t arrived
- Give it a minute, then check your junk or spam folder — it comes from hello@lovedthis.app.
- Sign-in codes expire after an hour. If yours has, just ask for a new one.
- Check the address you typed. A code sent to a typo can’t find you.
My invite code isn’t working
- A code never blocks you from joining. If it’s expired or mistyped you still get in — ask your friend to send a fresh link, or to invite you into their circle from the app.
- Codes are six characters. Capitals and spaces don’t matter, but every character does — 8 and B are easy to mix up.
- Whoever sent it can turn a code off and make a new one. If theirs has been replaced, ask for the current one.
Reporting and blocking
Open anyone from Everyone or from the home screen — Report and Block are at the bottom of their page. Report asks for a reason and an optional note, and it lands with a real person straight away (we aim to act within 24 hours); an individual favourite can also be reported from its own row. Block makes the two of you invisible to each other everywhere in the app, and you can unblock any time from the About screen. The Terms say what’s never allowed here.
Changing your name, or your lists
Your display name can be changed in the app at any time. Favourites can be reordered, edited, or removed whenever you like — your lists are yours to curate, and deleting really deletes.
Notifications
LovedThis! sends one gentle reminder a month, asking whether you’ve what you’ve loved lately. That’s the only notification it sends. Turn it off any time in the app (About → Monthly reminder) or in iOS Settings → Notifications → LovedThis! If you do, the same monthly note arrives by email instead — every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link at the bottom (and replying to ask works too; a person reads those).
Deleting your account
In the app: About → Delete account. It’s immediate and it really deletes. See Privacy for exactly what gets removed and when — or email hello@lovedthis.app if you can’t reach the app.
Anything else
hello@lovedthis.app. LovedThis! is made and looked after by one person. General questions may take a few days. Reports and safety concerns are acted on within 24 hours.
